As temperatures continue to rise, the amazon's foliage continues to be cut down to be used as farmland. This affects the poison dart frog, which, due to its cold-bloodedness, is at risk of overheating due to the fact that it can't find cool areas in the forest. Instead, the frog could become warm-blooded, allowing it to maintain a constant temperature and survive the heat much better. It could also develop panting, which, due to its small size, would rapidly move air in and out of the frog, allowing it to cool off quickly. By becoming warm-blooded, the frog would also have to eat more. This is why it would develop claws, allowing it to hunt small grubs much better. Additionally, due to the decreasing foliage, the frog would stand out with its current orange skin. This is why it would turn its skin brown, so it could blend in more.
