The bald Uakari monkey lives in the amazon rainforest. Its distinctive features are its bright red face, orange fur, and strong jaw. It eats different types of fruits, seeds, insects, leaves, and flowers. Major threats to the Uakari are drought and deforestation. As a result, the forest may become a browner and less lush environment. The Uakaris may change their fur from orange to brown in order to blend in better, and begin to eat more, smaller animals. This would be because plants and seeds would be less plentiful and have a more difficult time surviving. In order to eat the small animals, they might also add some teeth farther back in their mouth.
