The kinkajou lives in South and Central America but they are usually found in the Amazon rainforest. They are nocturnal so they have big eyes. You’ll usually find them in the high areas of the trees, in the trees they eat fruit, leaves, and sometimes bugs. Some day in the future, the Amazon may become a savanna, the kinkajous are already going down from habitat loss. If the Amazon does become a savanna, kinkajous might have to thrive on the ground and stop being nocturnal for their safety, this will cause them to have smaller eyes. They will eat meat because there won't be lots of vegetation to eat. Their fur will get shorter from heat. They will not spend time in trees because there aren’t as much. Climate change will make a big change to animals like the kinkajou.
