Kinkajous are nocturnal mammals found in South American rainforests. They reside in forest canopies even when traveling and sleeping. Their 5-inch tongues allow them to catch insects and extract honey for food. Flexible tails and paws are for balance and climbing, helping them escape predators. As rainforests turn into savannas, they won't be nocturnal or arboreal anymore. They will have bigger bodies, smaller heads, longer legs, and a thinner tail for an aerodynamic build, allowing for speed in order to hunt. They will retain flexible spines, but instead of curling up in trees to sleep, it is also for speed. Savannas won't hold their favorite fruits, so they will evolve into carnivores. Their canines will grow, and their long tongues will become snake-like to squeeze small animals to death. Their fur will become lighter brown with a slight tinge of green.
