tapir adaptation

My animal is the tapir. Tapirs are herbivores and usually eat in small amounts at a time. Tapirs live in wetlands, forests, savanna, and rainforests.There are four different types of tapirs South American tapir, the Malayan tapir, Baird's tapir, and the mountain tapir. Maybe in a thousand years the tapir would have to live in the ocean. It would have to have gills, fins and different teeth. Its main food sources would probably be a diet of fish, kelp and smaller plants and animals.
