Presently, the toucan has noticeable colors. It lives in the rainforest canopy layer, usually in trees. The beak is hard and has vibrant colors. It uses it to reach food on far branches and inside trees. The beak can be four times the size of its head. Currently, the toucan eats fruits, lizards, rodents, and insects. In the future, it will lose most of its habitat because of people cutting down trees, building factories which pollute the air, and heavier rain storms from climate change breaking trees. With habitat loss, its locomotion will change, it will fly more often, so its wings will get stronger and thicker. The color of the toucan will change with white fading away and more black coming to camouflage from its predators. The beak will get softer because of its diet changing to smaller foods. That’s what I think would happen in a thousand years.
