Peacock Bass

The peacock bass is an extraordinary, beautiful animal that is a type of cichlid that lives in the amazon rainforest. They also have four colors. olive, green, yellow, and red. These animals live ten years if in good condition but usually live six years in the amazon due to diseases and predators that are harmful to them. They live by the surface in rocky pits and open areas to find food. Peacock bass eat fish that are a third of their size. I think that the peacock bass would change by going deeper in the water due to global warming. I think that they would also lose color due to it being useless in the dark. They also would have to prey on bigger animals and might even become scavengers feeding on dead food. These fish also will have to adapt their eyesight so they can see in the dark.
