My animal now hunts by camouflaging and sneaking up on its prey and pouncing on it. After it will bite or slash it to deal the killing blow. How it camouflages is by hiding in the shadows. My animal sees in the dark better than most animals. It hunts or sleeps during the night. My animal in 1000 years has adapted by losing its ears in return for gills and has lost its tail in return for fins. It hunts by swimming up quickly to its prey and biting it. It cannot camouflage as it is brightly colored. It can still see in the dark. It can still go on land as it has a nose and lungs.
