The Future of the Jaguars

The jaguar is a large cat species that lives in tropical rainforests. It can be up to 1.85 meters long and can weigh up to 158 kilograms, making it a rather large and heavy feline. It is a carnivore that devours over 85 species of animals range-wide. In the future, things could change for these animals. Due to climate change, rainforests are losing their canopy, causing more of the life on the floor to die. Also, climate change causes habitat loss of its prey and causes it to lose food. As a result, the jaguar would have to adapt its jaw and legs to be stronger to make it easier for it to hunt and eat. It would also need to hide from prey, so the pattern of its spots would change into stripes and its fur color would lighten for camouflage. Additionally, the jaguars would have become smaller.
