Toucan

The animal that I chose is the toucan. Toucans live in the rainforest where they eat mostly fruit and insects. In the future the rainforest will mostly dry out and become much hotter. When this happens the toucan will change in many ways. There will be less trees which would eliminate many fruits and the natural shade. Toucans will develop more muscles in their tails so they can use it as a fan to cool off. Their natural color will also change from black to grayish yellow to absorb less sun. Since the rainforest will become very dry, there will be less fruit. Toucans will eat more insects and their beaks will form a pouch to hold water. Toucans will still be able to fly because they need to search for insects and water.
