The Harpy Eagle

Excellent vision, 2-meter wingspan, apex predator. Do you know who I'm talking about? I’m talking about the Harpy Eagle! They have a very interesting hunting style. The eagle waits on a low branch in the canopy of the rainforest. This way they can shoot up to the sky to get food or can drop down low to get food. Also, their facial disk feathers can be moved at will. This helps them direct sound waves to their ears to improve hearing! If climate change continues, a harpy eagle will need to adapt fast. They’ll have to change their hunting style! There will be flooding in the rain forest, damaging the trees the harpy eagle hunts on! A way that they could change their hunting method is by having a more aquatic style because of flooding. Harpy eagles will have to change their diet to eat more aquatic animals. :)
