The hummingbird is a rainforest animal. Over time, ice from glaciers can melt causing sea levels to rise and the rainforests to flood. The hummingbird had to adapt to live in the sea. If the hummingbird did not adapt to life in the sea, the hummingbird would get tired of flying, because there would be no land around to take a break. The first adaptation change is the gills to breathe underwater. Second, the hummingbird has a tail to swim. Next, there are going to be waterproof wings to escape from predators but they can act as fins. Fourth is echolocation to see in dark places like caves. Last, will be a spear-like beak to attack a predator if needed. Isn’t the hummingbird amazing with its new adaptations!
