Charles Darwin had stated the ‘survival of the fittest’ i.e. those species which are able to adapt to the changes in its environment wins in the race to live. The increasing global warming and consequent environmental changes suggest that in future only a few species will live on this planet. Jaguar, found in temperate forests, will be one such animal. It's a predator carnivore. It has rosettes to help it camouflage. Its new habitat will be an arid desert with scanty vegetation and little rainfall. It will have its rosettes converted into glands to regulate body temperature. Its skin will be leathery and thick. Its feet will have pads to bear the scorching heat. It will become an omnivore and survive on flesh and plants. The hump will store fats to help in times of scarcity of food. This evolved Jaguar will be called ‘Jagel’.
