The giant river otter

My creature is the Giant river otter, a mostly aquatic mammal that will have to adapt to its changing environment .I predict that in the future the Amazon will become a hot grassland with a brackish water swap . The otter will have to adapt in many ways including behavioral and physiological changes. The Otter will have to adapt to the heat, grassy landscape and changes in the river. I believe that there will be a change in their thermoregulatory system due to the change in temperature. Apart from that I believe that their fur will change due to the temperatures and the change in the salt in the water. I believe they will become more of a land animal due to deforestation . Some behavioral changes will be that they will become more of a solitary creature to to a change in prey and land.
