The animal I picked for this challenge is the western gorilla. Gorillas are omnivores but eat mostly plants and fruits. Full grown adult gorillas weigh between 400 and 600 lb, but usually around 450 lb. Their diet consists of shoots, stems, leaves, sometimes they eat larvae, snails, barks, and even roots. These Western Gorillas inhabit rainforests in central Africa, lowland forests, and even swamp forests. Gorillas can stand upright to make themselves look huge and taller in order to scare away their only predator (leopard). They also scream, hoot and may also use their arms while fighting. Gorillas have many adaptations that help them to survive, the most important adaptations are their opposable thumbs that help them to gather plants to eat and their large arm muscles for climbing trees. Gorillas are social and usually form groups called harems. Though Gorillas form harems they still would and could not hunt.
