The current jaguar has a dark coat with separated spots to help with not being seen by prey. He has a long tail to help with balance when they are high up in a tall tree. He has smaller ears because his prey is much larger and easier to see. The jaguar has larger and stronger teeth to bite through the thick skins of crocodiles and hard shells of turtles and it is easier to break apart thick meat. The future jaguar has a lighter striped coat to blend in with the grass of the dried up rain forest. He also has a smaller tail because there are not as many tall trees so he won’t need to balance as much. The future jaguar has bigger ears because his prey will be significantly harder to hear coming since they are so much smaller.
