Description of Present Creature: The Red-Eyed Tree Frog is a bright green frog with blue and yellow stripes and vibrant red eyes. This species lives in tropical lowlands throughout Central and South America. These frogs are the size of a teacup and live for about 5 years. They are full carnivores as their diet consists of crickets, moths, and flies. Description of Future Creature: These red eyed tree frogs who have fought through global warming, tree fungus, and environmental deterioration have literally developed a thicker skin to combat the rainforest diseases. Due to humans destroying the rainforests, frogs have converted to live in water full-time. They have lost their lungs and have gills as adults now.
