Present Civets are cat-like animals that are found in the rainforests of Asia and Africa. Civets are mammals in the group Carnivora. This group is split into two branches, Feliforma (the cat-like carnivorans) and Caniformia (the dog-like carnivorans). These animals are most well known for their musk that they secrete to mark their territory (called civetone), as used in manufacturing perfume for centuries, and for their striking black and white coloring, making them one of the easiest species of civet to identify. Climate-change The civet now has skin like a beaver so he could go in and out of the water. When predators come, like the alligator in the background, the civet rotates its tail so fast, he starts to float temporarily. To get food, he dives underwater and grabs fish and other organisms to eat. They sleep on lily pads.
