Currently, the Potoo can be found in Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. Its habitat has a lot of big trees since it is located in rainforests and its habitat has a lush, warm, and wet climate. The Potoo usually hangs out on tree branches and is difficult to be seen because it has brown and black fur to camouflage with its habitat. The Potoo’s environment is currently endangered due to deforestation and due to this the bird will have to adapt to its environment. Some adaptations that I think would happen are that its fur would change to green to now camouflage with grass and plants. I also think that it will grow an extra two longer legs since it can’t hang out in trees anymore. While it will still be able to fly, it will have to spend a lot of time on the ground.
