In the jungle, toucans help other creatures significantly without needing anything in return. Their strong breaks help them thermoregulate, spread seeds, hunt, and defend. The toucan’s diet is mainly just other, smaller animals like insects and small reptiles and amphibians, in which they only feed on seasonally. This allows toucans to have much availability of food and the ability to grow and develop. Thus, a decrease in food will neither cause a decline in population nor endanger the species in regards to nutrition. In addition, toucans also don’t need much water. The habitat of toucans are mainly rainforests, which usually provide them with food and shelter. However, rainforests have recently been exposed to forest fires, which caused many species to become endangered. Despite this, toucan living conditions have never deteriorated to the point where they would result in any major physical changes. The only possible change regards burnt feathers.
