My creature is the capybara and it lives everywhere throughout South America in densely forested and warm areas near lakes or rivers. They are the largest rodent, they also have long noses and webbed feet to help with swimming. They also have thick brown fur to help dry quickly. And their environment is being harmed from deforestation of the rainforest and all of south america. So the ground might dry up and they won't have their main food source which is grass so they might evolve from herbivores to carnivores and since they can also swim very well there new food source could possibly be fish.If we lose to many trees in the rain forest in a short amount of time they might not be able to evolve because they could die out even if they aren't on the endangered list they can be in a very short time.
