The basilisk lizard

My creature is the Basilisk lizard from the rainforest. When the climate changed a few degrees, it made the sea rise above the rainforest and made islands that were close together. When the environment morphed so did the basilisk lizard. The basilisk lizard grew more muscle in his legs and was able to swim in the water and was still able to run across water, so that he could dive under water and fish for small animals while island hopping. In the rainforest this creature was green to blend into the plants, blue to bend into the water or brown to blend into the trees and dead foliage. This creature changed its color to a yellow to blend into the sand or light blue to blend in the shallow water so it was more camouflaged in its new environment.
