Lachesis Muta, also known as the South American Bushmaster, is an Amazonian snake, living closer to the coast around rivers. On average, they grow to be around 6.5-8 feet in length, the longest recorded at around 12 feet. Their average weight is around 3-5 kilograms, or around 6-11 pounds.Their diet mainly consists of rats, mice, along with the occasional bird, reptile, porcupines, squirrels, opossums, squirrel monkeys, and frogs. They already are relatively adaptable to the non-rain forest climate, but if the river banks weren't available, their color might change to match with the newfound heat, along with slightly rougher scales to meet the expectations of a dry climate.
