Currently, the Jaguar is equipped with short, muscular limbs, a long tail for climbing trees, strong claws/jaw for killing prey, and a rosette pattern for camouflage in their rainforest environment. In the future, the Brazilian rainforests may be hotter with less water (therefore fewer trees) and similar to Africa. Trees are what many jaguars rely on, and with fewer trees then a Jaguar’s limbs might become longer/less muscular, along with shorter claws and a shorter tail as these are no longer needed to climb. To camouflage, the Jaguar’s fur pattern may become lighter and possibly with stripes to blend in with tall grass. The Jaguar might have thinner, lighter fur to help cool itself plus a smaller-sized body structure if possible lack of food/water because of heat. This smaller body will make it harder to defend from predators, therefore leading to the Jaguar developing a small mane.
