The macaw has vibrant, thick feathers which help it fly through the rainforest and blend in with the exotic fruits and sharp claws which help them catch prey or defend themselves. Macaws also communicate with their voices through their strong, rock hard beaks which help them eat nuts with hard shells or smaller prey. Over time, rise in temperature and increase in rain will occur which will change the macaw’s feathers. The feathers will become more water-resistant and thin to keep the macaw cool. The macaw will grow in size, continuing its omnivorous activities but leading more toward a carnivorous diet due to extinction in many species of plants. The macaw’s colors will lean more toward different greens to blend in with trees or plants, but the bird will keep a few of its bright feathers so that it can blend in with the tropical fruits.
