There would be two main phases to the Green Vine Snakes adaptations. In the first phase/stage the snake's scales will become dark brown or black and they will have more of a beak. This is so that the snakes can hide in burn areas and push through debris. The second phase will have the snake more of a brown or tan color to match the dry grasses and dirt that will be left after the fire debris is eventually gone. They will still have a bit of a sharper nose to push through grass and bushes. The snake will also get shorter over time so that it requires less food and water.
