The Azure KingFisher lived by eating fruits, vegetables, and small plants. It lived in the rainforest. One thousand years later, the Azure KingFisher survives off of street scraps because there is no longer a rainforest. The rainforest was destroyed and a new city was built in its place. The population of the Azure KingFisher birds declined by thousands. Making these species almost extinct. The birds spend most of their time perched on power lines and when it rains, they go under a building for shelter.
