The Ring-tailed Lemur is one of the worlds incredible creatures. They climb through the trees of Madagascar in groups eating plants, leaves, and fruit. They are beautiful creatures and yet they are severely endangered. In the future loss of habitat and global warming will push them to the edge of being extinct. The Ring-tailed Lemur must adapt to drier conditions. The Trees that they call home will grow scarce and they will be forced to move around on the ground more. They will adapt by changing color over time to camouflage in with their environment. The loss of habitat from logging also will cause loss of plants, which is their main food source. To adapt they will become an omnivore, eating both plants and small animals to sustain themselves. They will gain larger claws and teeth to help them catch prey due to the loss of plants as well.
