Currently, toucans have long, thick beaks designed to get seeds and fruits and occasionally insects. They also have short, strong legs and a rather small body. In the future, if rainforests turn into savannahs, they would have to become full carnivores due to the lack of fruit, strong, long legs, and a big body, effectively making them a bird of prey.
