In the future, climate change will cause the sea levels to rise by fifty meters, partially flooding the Amazon rainforest and forcing the red eyed tree frog to undergo adaptations. Presently, the frog has green skin for camouflage, red eyes, and blue under skin for startling predators, which gives the frog a chance to escape. Their suction cup fingers allow them to stick to trees and easily traverse their environment. They also have lungs that allow them to live on land and breathe air. The future frog's skin and eye color would be blue and purple so they can blend in with the water and, they would have pink eyes, to startle predators, as pink has a higher contrast underwater than red. Additionally, it would have more webbing and on its feet and arms to allow quicker underwater movement and it would have gills to allow it to breathe underwater.
