The Axolotl

One of the axolotl's adaptations is the ability to regenerate its limbs. This helps against predators. Another adaptation is the ability to stay in its young form, so they stay larvae. Another adaptation is the axolotl courtship dance. As they dance, pheromones are released. Pheromones have a scent that shows they are ready to mate. My last adaptation is that axolotls have an extraordinarily powerful sense of smell and touch, to sense prey. I hypothesize the climate will become more unpredictable. First it will flood, next it will be dry. One way the axolotl will adapt to this is backup lungs. This will help the axolotl breathe during a drought. Another adaptation could be the ability to swim super-fast. This would help them survive fast-moving water. One more adaptation is the ability to detect movement. This will help them know if it will be wacky weather.
