The Three-toed sloth The three-toed sloth will have to adapt to the change in the Amazon Rainforest. This animal is very close to dying. The reason is that they eat leaves, twigs, and buds. They will not be there in one thousand years, so they must eat plants and some twigs on the ground. For some of the adaptations, they will have to do something completely different. For instance, they will have to dig in the ground, not climb trees. Some animals will eat sloths, knowing they are easier to spot if they are on the ground. In the future, we should start thinking about animals, what they eat, and their habitat. The reason there are no trees is because people are building houses around the world. The three-toed sloth is going extinct because of us and many other animals. We need to start to care about all the sloths.
