The Kinkajou is a native animal to tropical rain forests in South America, it is a nocturnal animal that feeds on mainly fruits and other smaller insects, it has webbed feet and claws in order to be able to hold onto the fruits more. The coat of the animal is packed densely and short to help with the resistance for the rainy environment. The long tails are used to help them hang from trees and acts as an extra appendage. The decline of the rain forest environment would cause changes in the behaviors and appearance in the animal. The tail would no longer be needed, because of the lack of trees, the hair would become a lighter color and longer to help with heat retention. A change to the sleeping habits would also occur, because of the lack of fruits and vegetables availability.
