Droughts cause many species ane ecosystems to struggle. Droughts can cause any population to decline if there is a shortage of water. With no water, there is no life on earth. With climate changes constantly changing, I believe that it will have a negative impact on the population of Pygocentrus Nattereri in the Amazon. They thrive with plenty of water sources. Over time, the lake that this organism was living in over time dried out and only has very limited amounts of water that runs through the creases of the dried up lake. The drought has caused this population to evolve over time to be able to sustain without water for longer periods of time, along with front arms to be able to drag themselves to the nearest water source. Not only does the shortage of water affect the Pygocentrus population.
