The Bee Hummingbird lives in the emergent layer of the rainforest since it has lots of flowers with nectar which is the main part of its diet. Sometimes it eats insects. It has iridescent blue/green feathers. It is the smallest bird on earth. In the future, the Bee Hummingbird will have more blue coloring due to rising water levels allowing it to camouflage with water. When diving into the water to catch prey, it will look like the colors of the sun or moon, disguising it. There will be less flowers, so there won’t be as much nectar in their diet causing them to add small fish to it. The Bee Hummingbird will be slightly larger than before to adapt for traveling longer distances and so that it will be able to consume a larger amount of food. It has waterproof feathers allowing it to adapt for swimming.
