Currently, the poison dart frog lives in the leafy rainforest. He has sticky toes so that he can grip the leaves and not fall. He is really tiny so he needs protection from big predators. He is really toxic, and no predators want to come near him. He warns predators to stay away with his bright colors. In the future, his habitat will change. Now he lives in a grassland. He is bigger so that animals don’t step on him in the tall grass. His toes aren’t as long anymore so that he can walk better. There are fewer trees so he can’t climb anymore. He now is brown and dull green to blend in with his surroundings. He is not toxic anymore because the animals around him are too big to see him anyway.
