The sloth lives in the rainforest and lives off of fruits and leaves. Also, they spend all of their time in trees. Currently, sloths are very slow and the rainforest is not hot. Lastly, sloths stay safe by camouflaging or attacking with sharp claws. In the future the climate in the rainforest might change, it will probably become hotter. Scientists believe that the change in the weather will cause them to lose fur, or eat insects. Their bodies will also change. For example, they will have bigger bodies, and their muscles will change, therefore sloths move faster. Another example is that they will start living underground. Lastly, if people continue cutting down trees then sloths will be endangered or even eventually extinct. As you can see sloths will adapt their behaviors and bodies over time. If sloths don’t have help in the future they might go extinct.
