Snakes can adapt to different environments and have a lot of options for prey. Snakes eat birds, eggs, rodents, and insects. The snake also can adapt from drinking water to collecting rainwater. In the future, the snake would adapt to a dry environment by eating whatever animals are available and collecting rainwater when it becomes available. The snake could get bigger and longer because it could adapt to a hot and dry environment and still have food and blend in.
