My present-day creature is a capybara. It has eyes, ears, and nostrils, webbed feet, dry skin, and shaggy fur. It is one of the biggest rodents in the world. It lives in swamps in eastern South America. My capybara in the future has no fur and no webbed feet. Instead of using water to protect its skin, it uses mud because since waters are getting warmer it will not survive in hot waters so it will have to use mud to protect its dry skin and it will not have webbed feet because it does not swim in water anymore, it will live underground for shade and protection from the sun. The capybara’s fur is used to dry it off quickly but since the air is getting warmer it won’t need its fur so it would not be there anymore.
