My animal is an Andean Bear. The Andean bear lives in the Andean mountain range. The lush leaves and trees house the bears and help them hide from predators. However, due to deforestation and climate change, this mountain range may not exist in the near future. As you can see on the “NOW” drawing the Andean bear has a marking of what looks like spectacles, giving him the nickname Spectacled Bear. In the “THEN” drawing you can see due to deforestation and climate change the forest/mountain range will have turned to sand, dirt, and dust. The yellowish color on the floor will match the bear's spectacle color which will go all the way down the back of the bear. This will help it look like the sandy ground from above. It will also grow a longer tail and sloth-like dobby to help it balance and burrow in its new home.
