Hyenas are scavengers and hunters, known for their keen sense of smell and high pitched laugh. They can be found in the tropical rainforests of western Asia and India, as well as the savannas of Africa. Hyenas can have spotted, striped, or brown pelts. Hyenas range from 90 to 170 pounds, and are 37 to 59 inches long. They have strong jaws and sharp teeth. In the future, hyenas will all have one pelt color with a mix of spots and stripes as well as a light tan main coat, helping them to blend in more. Hyenas’ size will shrink to be smaller and leaner to conserve energy. Their sharp teeth will become more blunt so they can be omnivorous.
