Jaguars live in wooded areas in the rainforest and near water. They spend a lot of time on the ground and are camouflaged by the underbrush when they are looking for food. Jaguars have orange and black spots, padded paws and a long tail. They eat deer, opossum, armadillo, turtles, birds, and fish. If the area the jaguar lives in becomes marshes, the jaguar would have to adapt to the new ground. They might adapt to having webbed feet instead of padded paws to better traverse the flooded environment. Their fur would become a greenish-blue color to blend in with the new environment. If the ground was wet, their tail would also shorten to not drag in the water. The change of environment to a marsh would change the food they hunt. The jaguars would be smaller since they would be eating less large animals but more fish.
