The Pink River Dolphin, Inia geoffrensis, is a rare dolphin that is found in the Amazon River. They can grow up to 9 feet long, weigh up to 400 pounds and live to be thirty years old. They have two flukes on their tail fin. Flukes are used to move the dolphin through the water. Flukes are 22-29 inches long when put together. Due to climate change, ice and glaciers are melting and running into rivers causing the waters to rise. In the future the Amazon River could be higher which would make the current go faster. The Pink River Dolphins would still live in the Amazon River but they would get swept away by the strong current, so they would need to evolve to get stronger. Their tails would get bigger so that they would have more power. Their flukes would grow to be 38-45 inches instead.
