In the present, sloths spend most of their time just hanging upside down on trees. They get food and a habitat for survival in treetops in dense rainforests. Sloths are hairy and good swimmers. They don’t have predators because the types of animals who eat animals like sloths can’t detect movement as sloths hang on their branches the entire day. The sloth is a vegetarian creature who eats fruits, leaves, and sap from various trees. In the future, sloths may have a slimmer body with less hair as there are fewer trees because of them having to move around more than they do today. Because there are fewer trees' sloths may adapt to live and find food in cave. Sloths may also use their skill of swimming in the water because of the rising sea level. Sloths may become meat eaters in the future because there will be less vegetation.
