The present jaguar lives in the rain forest and has spots that allow it to camouflage and sneak up on prey. It has muscular limbs and large paws to help it climb and swim. Additionally, its large head with big canines helps it pierce prey. In the future, the rain forest may become grassy plains and the jaguar will have to adapt to this big change in environment. In the future, it will have fewer spots to help it blend in better. The jaguar will have thinner fur that will help it cool off and bigger ears to help it hear prey better. The jaguar will have thick paw pads to protect it from the heat and longer legs to allow it for faster movement when chasing prey in the plains. It will have less saturated colors to hide in the grass for hunting purposes.
