Climate Change and Monkeys

Global warming will cause the environment to change from lush rainforest to dry, empty area with shrubs and less trees. The chimpanzee usually weighs from 120-190 pounds. In the future, they may weight less due to less food, such as fruits, plants, flowers and leaves. The future environment will have increased temperatures and different rainfall. This will decrease the amount of lush canopy in which the chimps live. They will have to stay lower to the ground, which could make them more vulnerable to predators.
