Coats would become shortened due to extreme temperatures, although still remaining thick and coarse to combat sand and dirt. Their coat would also transform into a lighter color scheme to match the savanna, taking on a zebra-like print. Large claws on the front feet would minimize and in turn running ability would enhance. Eyelashes and other small hairs in the upper respiratory system would grow longer and thicker to fight irritants. Toe pads would become thicker/rougher due to the high temperature that the savanna floor can reach during the day.
