The howler monkey lives in an inland tropical rainforest and has a loud scream that goes up to 3 miles to mark their territory. They use trees as places to sleep, and they also need 3 miles of land because they need a lot of space to roam from tree to tree.
In the future, their environment will change to more of a mixed woodland because of climate change. Howler monkeys will be brown and babies will be red so they can blend in with the browner environment. They would also have ear-piercing screams to protect them from other animals. They will also eat anything that they can, mainly fungi, and they will be omnivores. They would have to take less space in the woodland because of the amount of trees. In the future howler monkeys will walk more because there are fewer trees for them to swing.
