The Macaw is an incredible bird that has beautiful, vibrant leaves of blue, red, and yellow that lives in tropical, rainforest habitats. These colors provide dual functionality via attracting a potential mate and camouflage among the colorful environment of rainforests. The Macaw has a gargantuan, curved beak that is designed to crack nuts and eat soft fruits in rainforests. On the other hand, rainforests are being threatened due to deforestation and rising temperatures which are transforming them into arid, dry savannas. As a result, the Macaw will adapt via gaining muted brown and green feathers to blend with the dry grass which will save it from predators. Furthermore, its beak will become smaller and stronger to crack tough seeds and fibrous plants that are present in the savanna. These adaptations will allow the Macaw to respond to the loss of its habitat and showcases the resilience of nature to change.
