The collared anteaters live in the inland tropical rainforests. It uses its long tongue to help it eat bugs that are deep down in the dirt. They can climb the many trees.
Due to climate change, the Collared anteater in the future will live in a mixed woodland. There will be fewer trees and plants available, so they have lost their ability to climb as well as they used to. It will have sharper teeth to help it eat some meat. It will use its claws for digging in the dirt for bugs. Some of the meat it will eat is: squirrels, and other small animals. This animal will have a longer tail to help it balance out its longer claws. It will also have poisoned-tipped fur to help it defend itself against new predators in the mixed woodland. The poison is invisible so predators won't know it’s coming.
